"Honestly, I think they may have gotten the biggest steal of the draft.” — Penn State associate head coach/cornerbacks coach Terry Smith on his former player Kalen King. The story on how King ended up as the 255th pick of the draft: espn.com/nfl/story/_/id… ..Read More
Neat moment midway through the Bills' inside look at the draft. Brandon Beane was happy Keon Coleman ran his slow 40 at the Combine because it'd give him a chance to fall. pic.twitter.com/PSzIXNAJp4 ..Read More
When was the last time the New York Giants had an impact rookie on their roster? 2018 with Saquon Barkley? 2014 with Odell Beckham Jr.?This year, with Malik Nabers — the LSU star receiver the Giants selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft — they could finally ha ..Read More
These are the fantasy football rookies I'm looking to acquire in the best-ball leagues. I'm sifting through the bargain bin, seeking to recommend some obscure hits rather than the obvious ones. It all boils down to this: opportunity. That's what I'm looking for.
1. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders This wasn't the best or most predictable landing spot for Bowers. The Raiders drafted highly-touted rookie prospect Michael Mayer last year with the 35th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. It's unclear how the duo will be used in the offense this season. However, Bowers is just so much better than all the other tight ends in this class that he has to be ranked No. 1.
1. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals It didn't matter where Harrison landed, he was going to be at the top of this list. At the end of the day, he's just that good. That's not to say that other wide receivers in this class aren't great as well, but he's a generational type of player.
Many dynasty leagues were chomping at the bit to complete their rookie drafts immediately after the 2024 NFL Draft. I’m more of an advocate for giving it some time. Let the draft wash over you, and allow the dust to settle.
Before I dive into my ramblings, I want to cover the basics of this fantasy football mock draft exercise. This is a 12-team half-point superflex draft in which you need one quarterback, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, one superflex, one flex, one kicker and one team defense.
1. Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers Brooks was our top-ranked rookie running back prospect coming into the 2024 NFL Draft and he is now our top-ranked rookie running back for the 2024 fantasy football season.
"Busts? Talk about busts??? You kiddin' me? Busts?" Sorry, I'm doing my best to imitate the infamous Jim Mora "playoffs?" press conference moment. Is it too early to talk about busts? It probably is since so much can happen between now and the end of summer when most fantasy drafts occur.
